We want you to feel safe trying our products. This policy applies to what you buy from MartensLink AB, for example subscriptions to MartensLink Events Pro. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for the orders you place with us, so Paddle handles refunds on our behalf. Purchases in an app store are covered in section 10.
1. 14-day money-back guarantee
You can get a full refund within 14 days for:
- your first purchase of a subscription to a Service, for example Events Pro, whether you choose monthly or yearly. This applies once per customer and Service;
- a renewal of a yearly subscription.
You do not need to give a reason. The 14 days start on the day you were charged.
Monthly renewals are not refunded. You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time, and it then ends when the month you have paid for is over (see section 4).
2. How to ask for a refund
Go to paddle.net, look up your order with the email address you used, and request a refund there. Paddle handles the refund for us.
Paddle sends the refund to the payment method you used. It usually arrives within a few working days, but your bank or card issuer decides exactly when.
3. What happens to your subscription
When a payment is refunded, the subscription it paid for is cancelled, and your account returns to the free tier at once. What you have created is not affected. Your events, forms and spreadsheets in Events, for example, stay in your own Google account.
If you bought at a launch price and get a refund, the launch price ends with that subscription.
4. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancelling takes effect at the next renewal: you keep access for the whole period you have already paid for, up to the date the subscription would otherwise have renewed. After that it does not renew, and you are not charged again. The payment for a period that has already started is not refunded, except as described in sections 1 and 5.
You cancel in the Service where possible, for example in Events under ⚙ → Pro → Manage subscription, through the link in your receipt, at paddle.net, or by emailing support@martenslink.com.
5. Other payments
Payments not covered by section 1, and payments older than 14 days, are generally not refunded, but we always look at each case. We will refund the unused part of a prepaid period if:
- the Service has a fault that we cannot fix within a reasonable time;
- we remove a feature that is a material part of what you pay for;
- we stop offering the Service;
- we end your access without you having broken our terms;
- you do not accept a change to our terms or prices that applies during a prepaid period.
6. Your rights as a consumer
If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content or services within 14 days. At checkout you are asked whether you want the service to start at once, which can affect that right. The guarantee in section 1 applies whether or not you have that statutory right.
Nothing in this policy limits other rights that you have under the law of your country, for example if the Service is faulty.
7. Misuse
The guarantee on a first purchase applies once per customer and Service. We recognise an earlier purchase on the account that the subscription was linked to, even if you pay with another email address or payment method. We may also refuse refunds where it is clear that the guarantee is being misused, for example repeated buying and refunding to use a paid tier without paying. This does not affect your statutory rights.
8. Chargebacks
If something is wrong with a payment, please contact us first. We can usually solve it faster than a chargeback through your bank.
9. Payments to your participants in Events are not covered
This policy covers what you pay MartensLink. Payments that your participants make to you through your own Stripe account are between you and them. MartensLink never receives that money and cannot refund it. You refund participants from your Stripe dashboard.
10. Purchases in an app store
If you buy a Service or a subscription in an app store, for example Apple’s App Store, the app store handles payment and refunds under its own rules. This policy then does not apply to that purchase. Ask the app store for a refund, for example at reportaproblem.apple.com.
