MartensLink Events · for Google Sheets
From sign‑up to finished schedule. So you have time for everything else.
Events helps you with sign-ups, payments, groups, scheduling and emails. All in your own spreadsheet.
- Free up to 15 participants per event
- No percentage of your revenue
- In English and Swedish
Sound familiar?
The event is the fun part. Everything around it eats up your week.
A form here, a payment app there, a schedule in a third sheet and forty emails to write by hand. Events does the same job in a single spreadsheet, and most of it happens on its own.
Without Events
- Form
- Payment app
- Three sheets
- Texts
- Monday Copies 40 answers from the form into a new sheet.
- Tuesday The Saturday session is overbooked. Emails four people asking them to switch.
- Wednesday Checks the payment history against the list, line by line. Who hasn’t paid?
- Thursday Draws up the groups. The siblings ended up apart, so it’s back to the start.
- Friday Writes the schedule to every family, one email at a time.
- Saturday Two dropouts. Calls around to find out who was on the waitlist.
A week of long days, before the event has even started.
With Events
- One spreadsheet
- On its own Sign-ups land in the sheet. A session that fills up is taken off the form, and once everything is full, people can join the waitlist.
- On its own The payment link goes out right away. Payments are checked off, and anyone who forgot gets a reminder.
- One click Suggest groups and generate. Siblings you’ve linked end up together, and levels are mixed evenly.
- One click Create the schedule in the style you want.
- One click Send. Everyone gets their own schedule, with a payment link if anything is still owed.
- On its own Someone drops out. The first person on the waitlist gets the place and an email about it.
You spend the time on the event instead.
Try it yourself
This is what your next sign-up could look like.
Try Events with a made-up weekend camp. Tap where it glows yellow and follow one sign-up all the way to a finished schedule.
The demo needs JavaScript. In short: sign-ups arrive in your spreadsheet, payment links go out on their own and are checked off when someone pays, one click suggests groups, one click makes the schedule and one click sends everyone their own.
How it works
Four steps. In a program you already know.
Events is an add-on for Google Sheets, which you already have. Responses land in your spreadsheet and Events takes care of most of the rest, so you have more time for other things.
Install and open
Add Events from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Open a spreadsheet and choose Extensions → MartensLink Events. It works with a regular Google account and with Google Workspace. On a work or school account, your administrator may need to allow the add-on first.
Build the form
Choose days and times, and set the number of places and the price. Events creates the Google Form for you and then knows exactly what every question means. Already have a form? Connect it instead.
Share the link
Send the link, put it on your website or print the QR code. Sign-up can open and close at set times, and full sessions disappear from the form on their own.
Sit back. Then tap three times.
While sign-ups come in, Events handles payments, reminders and the waitlist. When it’s time, you tap Suggest groups, Generate schedule and Send.
Take what you need
Forms, payments and scheduling. Together or on their own.
Events is three parts that work together. Switch off what you don’t need and it disappears from the panel. You can always switch it back on.
Sign-up, payment, groups and schedule in one flow. The payment link goes out right after sign-up, and the schedule goes to everyone in one click.
Suits camps, courses and events with sessions to choose from.Parts in this event

Do the maths for your own event
How much time could you save?
Drag the sliders. The starting values are just examples, so change them to match your situation.
Your event
Events takes nothing from your payments, unlike many ticketing platforms that take a fee on every payment. You use your own Stripe account, so the money goes straight to you. Stripe’s usual card fee applies, as it does everywhere.
Your data, your money
No platform in between. What’s yours stays with you.
Events is an add-on in your own Google account. There’s no platform in between holding your participants or your revenue.
In your spreadsheet
Sign-ups, payments and schedules live in your own Google spreadsheet. MartensLink has no server that stores your participants.
Straight to your account
Card payments go through your own Stripe account. The money lands with you. Events takes no percentage.
Personal data in order
Terms and a privacy notice can be added to the form, and you can delete a participant’s details right from the panel.
No lock-in
Sign-ups and schedules live in your spreadsheet and your Google Form, and payments in your Stripe account. If you stop using Events, they stay with you.
Compare
More than a form. A fixed price instead of a percentage.
A regular form does one thing. A ticketing platform does more, but takes a cut of every sign-up. Events does the whole chain for a fixed price.
| Forms and spreadsheets by hand | Sign-up or ticketing platform | MartensLink Events | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Places per session and waitlist | Count them yourself | Often | Yes, in your Google Form |
| Card payments | Check the payment app against the list | Yes | Yes, checked off automatically |
| Fee on your revenue | None | Often around 3–7% plus a fee per ticket | None, a fixed price |
| Groups and schedule | By hand | Varies | One click |
| A personal schedule for everyone | One email at a time | Varies | One click, with a payment link if needed |
| Where participants’ details are kept | With you | With the platform | With you, in your spreadsheet |
| New system to learn | No | Yes | No, it’s Google Sheets |
Platform fees vary. Stripe’s own fees apply when you take card payments, whichever tool you use.

Why Events exists
It started in the sand.
Two beach volleyball coaches who have devoted their lives to the sport, all the way to the Olympics and the world’s top level, noticed how many hours went into sign-ups, payments and schedules instead of into the training and the people.
What would give them more time for what they love?
The answer was Events. A tool that does the boring parts for you, in programs you already have, at a price even a small club or a solo course leader can afford.
FAQ
Good to know before you start.
Do I need Google Workspace?
No, a regular Google account is enough. Google sets how many people you can email per day. Today the limit is 100 recipients for a regular Google account and 1,500 for Google Workspace. If a send is bigger than the day’s quota, Events sends the rest on its own over the following days.
Do I need Stripe?
Only if you want to take card payments. You can also use your own payment link, or not take payments at all and just use forms and scheduling.
Which payment methods work?
The ones you switch on in your Stripe account, for example cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and local methods such as Swish in Sweden. Stripe does not approve every method for every kind of business — for Swish, dance schools, schools and leisure activities may be asked for more information or turned down. Cards always work.
Do you take a cut of what I bring in?
No. The money goes straight to your Stripe account. The only deduction is Stripe’s own fee, which you’d pay with any tool that takes payments through Stripe. If you let Stripe work out the tax (Stripe Tax), Stripe charges 0.5% of the amount for that.
Can I use a form I already have?
Yes. Connect your Google Form to Events and set prices on the answers. The questions in the form don’t change.
Where do participants’ details end up?
In your spreadsheet and your Google account. MartensLink doesn’t store any participant data on a server of its own. You can delete a person’s details right from the panel.
Does it work on mobile?
You open the panel in Google Sheets on a computer. Participants sign up, pay and read their schedule on their phones, and you can tick off the attendance list in the Sheets app.
Do I need to know spreadsheets?
No. You work in the panel. The spreadsheet is where everything is saved, and where you can look or fix something by hand if you like.
Can I run several events in one spreadsheet?
No, one event per spreadsheet. You start the next event in a new spreadsheet, and there you can start from the last one: choose which parts come along and set new dates.
Can several of us work on the same event?
An event has one organiser, who makes the changes and whose account the emails are sent from. Colleagues the spreadsheet is shared with see everything in the panel but cannot change anything. The organiser can hand the event over to a colleague.
What does it cost?
Free up to 15 participants and 3 leaders per event, with every part included. In the free version, emails end with the line “Made with MartensLink Events”. For bigger events there’s Pro, which also removes that line. Pro renews automatically until you cancel under ⚙ → Pro → Manage subscription, and cancelling takes effect from the next period. You get a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first Pro purchase and on yearly renewals.
What happens if more than 15 sign up?
The first 15 get a place. Anyone who signs up after that waits, and gets no confirmation or payment link until a place opens or you get Pro. If you would rather close sign-up at 15, you can choose that in Events.
Can someone else pay, like the treasurer?
Yes. In Events, choose ⚙ → Get Pro → Someone else paying, and send the link to whoever pays. Pro goes to your Google account, whoever pays. The receipt goes to the email entered at checkout.
Let Events handle most of your next event.
Install Events, build the form and share the link. Then Events can help you find time for what you actually want to do.
