MartensLink began in the sand by a beach volleyball court
With Olympic coach Wesley Pinheiro and seven-time Swedish champion Karin Lundqvist, two passionate people who have devoted their lives to the sport and the people in it. Through training camps in different countries, they welcome everyone with warmth and kindness, and put all their focus on helping every participant grow and develop.
Seeing how many hours went into administration sparked an idea: what could give them more time for what they love, the training and meeting people?
A question that turned out to be bigger than that…
The same challenge exists for many clubs, coaches, course leaders and other small business owners. As the founder of MartensLink, I have run my own business for over 15 years, first teaching guitar and then as a songwriter and producer. When you work for yourself, you often choose the cheaper tools, but they come at a hidden cost: time, know-how and energy. You often end up piecing together several services and doing the rest by hand. Hiring someone to take care of the admin is rarely an option.
That is one of the gaps we want to fill…
With my drive to find solutions, a long-standing interest in programming and a desire to create and see possibilities, it felt completely right to do this together with Adrian. His logical thinking, strong commitment and ability to create, improve and develop mean that together we can build products for the future that make a difference for both individuals and businesses. Our first tool, Events, takes an event from sign-up to payment and a finished schedule, right inside Google Sheets and Forms. The goal is simple: more time and energy for what you value.
